When we consider all that our LORD endured, we develop a greater appreciation for Him and a deeper love. It wasn't merely the crucifixion that was difficult, but even the road that led to the cross. We consider his suffering alone in the garden of Gethsemane, his betrayal by one of his closest companions, the scourging he endured and bearing His cross on the road to Golgotha. He knowingly endured these things because of His love for each of us.
